Team USA Medieval Knights v Team Finland in the 5 v 5 team battle finals for bronze position. This was part of the IMCF International Medieval Combat Federation World Championship, held at Scone Palace in Scotland, May 2018. This was a win for the bronze medal by Team USA in this new sport of full-contact medieval combat.

Every year there is a medieval style combat tournament that takes place in a castle in Europe; that means swords, full body armor, and shields. This past year we followed the American team to the event to get a sense of how intense the competition is. We saw major injuries, the kind of patriotic pride you see in the Olympics, and sparks fly - literally. Teams from France and Germany compete in the Medieval Armoured Knights full-contact 5 v 5 competition during the 2018 IMCF World Championship, held at Scone Palace in Scotland. This full contact Medieval Knights competition is a new sport and this was a win for France after 2 clear rounds.
We went on the Internet and found yet another HEMA (Historical European Martial Art) tournament format that has 16 brave knights from a country take on 16 brave knights from another country. This is part of the International Medieval Combat Federation (IMCF). This took place in 2015. This fight is unique and different from the Battle of Nations because it seems to have a lot more tactical thought than its brethren in the Balkans. Also, unfortunately, during the fight, there were serious issues with marshaling, which were left unsolved. Until this date, I do not know what the end result of the match was.
